Supplementary Regulations

All Racers are advised to read the following CADRA Supplementary Regulations carefully.
 
GENERAL RULES
  • Competitors and Crew must comply with ANDRA and CADRA official rules and regulations at all times while on the ASID premises
  • ANDRA and CADRA Officials reserve the right to disqualify from competition and /or eject from ASID any competitors, crew and their associates that do not comply with these regulations or official instructions
  • CADRA reserves the right to cancel, postpone, alter or delete (without notice) meetings or events as a result of unsuitable weather conditions, natural disasters, civil disturbance, or other factors beyond their control. "Rain Dates" and refund of event application money will be at the discretion of CADRA.

RACER NOMINATION

  • Nomination Forms can be downloaded from the CADRA website www.cadra.com.au.
  • Pre-entry helps ensure the meeting will proceed. Pre-entry helps us organize trophies, food and drink catering for competitors and spectators. Late Entries: Competitor Gate 8 - 10 AM.
  • Post the nomination form and fee to PO Box 434 Alice Springs NT 0871 to meet the entry closing date.
  • Fax forms to 08 8952 0834
  • CADRA may cancel the race meeting or delete specific brackets if insufficient numbers of entrants.

RACER WITHDRAWAL FROM COMPETITION

  • NOTIFY ASID officials immediately when a racer withdraws from competition due to breakage, etc.
  • The Race pairing list will be invalid if non-competing racers are included during the seeding process. 
  • Failure to Notify will delay the race, and negatively impact Racers, Volunteers and Spectators.


NOMINATION FEES / LICENSE / INSURANCE

  • Permanent ANDRA license holders: Entry Fee includes ANDRA Category I Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) Upgrade for the named Driver /Rider and up to 3 Pit Crew members.
  • Current State or Territory Drivers Licence is required if no ANDRA license held.
  • ANDRA Divisional Day License (DDL) required if no ANDRA license held, except as follows:
    1. ANDRA UDL license required for: All Cars 11.99 and faster, All Bikes 10.49 and faster.
    2. Road registered street bikes can be as fast as 10.00 ET and still be on a DDL
    3. ANDRA Super Street License is optional for cars 11.00 - 12.999 ET.
  • DDL includes ANDRA Category II (PAI) for the DRIVER/RIDER ONLY

NOMINATION FEES - ANDRA BRACKET

  • $120 Supercharged Outlaw, Modified Eliminator, Super Sedan, Top Bike
  • $80 Super Street Cars, Modified Bikes
  • $50 Street Cars, Unmodified Street Bikes, Junior Dragster.

MINIMUM RACE FIELDS

  • A minimum of 4 competitors must enter qualifying rounds to race a bracket. If less than 4, the bracket will not be raced and trophies/award money not presented.

RACE BRACKETS & NOMINATION

Racers will nominate in one of the following ANDRA Group III brackets. If you need help determining your bracket, contact CADRA or ask at the Competitor gate. We may move your nominated bracket depending on the results of your qualifying runs on the day.
  • SUPERCHARGED OUTLAW  Quickest 6 qualifying vehicles slower than 6.50
  • MODIFIED ELIMINATOR. ET 10.99 & quicker Altereds, Dragsters, Funny Cars, Hot Rods
  • MODIFIED BIKE  Modified competition bikes, e.g. wheelie bars, air shifter
  • SUPER SEDAN  10.99 and quicker sedans & Utes
  • SUPER STREET  11.00 to 12.999 sedans & Utes , Mufflers required by ANDRA
  • JUNIOR DRAGSTER  8.50 and slower ET - 1/8th Mile Only

Non-ANDRA Brackets, ASID "Street Race Series"

  • STREET CAR 13.00 and slower, street registered, slicks and open exhaust allowed
  • STREET BIKE Unmodified, street registered or street legal trim

RACING FORMAT

  • Racing is Dial-Your-Own DYO handicap and a Full .400 Tree (ANDRA Group III Rules).
  • Racing is normally CHICAGO SHOOTOUT ( ROUND ROBIN ) format as follows:
  • 1, 2, or 3 Rounds of Qualifying determine racer's seeding position based on the best Elapsed Time (ET). 
  • 3 Rounds of Eliminations; overall winner determined during a 4th and Final Elimination Round. 
  • Finalists selected by most number of wins; ties are broken by selecting Racer closest to Dial-In on 3rd Round.

TROPHIES / POINTS / PRIZE MONEY / TOW MONEY

  • Trophies will be presented after Final Eliminations at the Tower.
  • Tow Money and Prize Money (when given) will be deposited to racers bank account as per entry form 
  • CADRA Points and Club Trophies will only be awarded to Financial CADRA members.

TYPICAL ONE DAY EVENT FORMAT

(Actual times may vary, Format Handout available at the Comp Gate)
  • 08.00 AM  Competitor Gate Open & Scrutineering Starts
  • 10.00 AM-12 PM  Time Trials & Qualifying 
  • 1 PM  Racing
  • TWO DAY EVENT- Qualifying & Racing Times as per the Event Format Handout

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

  • ASID occupies environmentally sensitive land that recharges the Alice Springs Town Water Aquifer.
  • As a condition of racing the NT Government has restrictions on ASID to protect the water supply.
  • All liquid Fuel & Oils brought to the site will be held in containers not exceeding 20 liters capacity.
  • Disposal of any fuels, oils, or other liquid / water contaminants at ASID is Strictly Prohibited
  • Immediately report all liquid spills to ASID Officials to help assist in your cleanup actions.
  • DO NOT drive pegs or stakes or otherwise make holes in any sealed surfaces at the ASID facility
